" Just Another New Year's Eve "

Another  Year is Ending
Virginia Archer

Here it is the end of another year and
I'm wondering where 2010 went.
In  a few days it will be gone and I'm  sitting
here remembering just how it was spent!
Did I try to be more patient?
Did I grow closer to my Lord?
Did I suceed in being a better friend?
Did I always keep my word?
Did I lose that twenty pounds?
Did I better spend  my days?
Did I show people I'm a Christian?
Did I change my selfish ways?
Did I get involved in life around me?
Did I seek a better way to live?
Did I benefit from my failures?
Did I learn how to forgive?
Sadly, I admit that I failed in
a bunch of the things I've listed.
Looking back I can see some of the
failures I really should have resisted!
But, thank God I didn't  fail  in all,
 thereby creating a better life.
Yes, I know if I had tried harder
I could have avoided a lot of strife!
So now 2011 is about to begin and
I can start anew right here.
By trying really hard, I will do
much better in the coming year!
Well, I Could!!

Please leave any comments for Virginia
in my GUEST BOOK. Thank you.

Life is a shipwreck but we

must not forget to sing in

the lifeboats.

The unthankful heart... discovers no mercies;

but let the thankful heart sweep through

the day and, as the magnet finds the iron, so it

will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings!

Sinfully good -- and EASY! This is what was noted

on this recipe when I received it. They also report that

everyone wants the recipe when served. I have not tried it

so no questions please. I would wonder what size

baking sheet, but guess one will have to experiment.

1 pkg. (8) Pillsbury crescent rolls
2/3 c. butter
2/3 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. chopped nuts
12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips

Spread crescent rolls (the dough) onto baking sheet. Press edges

together, carefully and seal well. Leave small ridge around edge.
Bring butter, sugar and nuts to a boil. Pour over flattened rolls.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle 12
ounces chocolate chips over top. Let melt, spread.

Micah 6:8
He has showed you, O man, what is good.

And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly

and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

I wish you all a good day filled with pleasant things,

and down time as needed. Join me again tomorrow.

Be safe and be aware of everything and everyone

around you always.
